At Moonlight Fishing our goal is to provide you with honest straight forward tips and stories pertaining to catching catfish. We also strive to hopefully share some insights on nature itself. My wife and I try to fish as much as we can and also get out and enjoy nature. Hopefully our love for nature and catfishing will show through this site.
I get so tired of clicking on catfish sites and only seeing ads. I am an avid fisherman and love reading stories or information on catfishing. These days it’s getting harder and harder to get real information. I hope to be able to give you honest insight into the world of catfishing. If I post an article or a how to post, I promise to give you all of the information, not just a piece of it and then tell you to buy my book for the rest. If you have any suggestions or comments please feel free to post them.
A little about me.
My name is Robbie and I have been fishing since I was a small boy and love it just as much now as I did then. I started focusing on Catfish about 11 years ago and since then have picked up a few tips and tricks along the way. I live in SC and mostly fish the famous Santee Cooper Lakes. We also fish Lake Wateree. Check back often for updated articles and tips, as well as some catfish recipes along the way. I hope you enjoy the site and feel free to drop me a line anytime, I will answer all emails personally.

Hi Robert,
The bluecat’s eyesight is not that good in off colored water, but that doesn’t mean that they are any less sensitive to bait. They can still detect bait even in the muddiest water by using their barbels and pores located along their body. So no matter what the water conditions, don’t be afraid to go give it a try for cats! Hope this helps, and good luck.
Thanks, Robbie
